This week I was able to find 12 gorgeous purple SPRING violets in the yard….

and a friend has a whole bed of Iris plants blooming. Mother Nature is a bit confused….

thinking about the plant known as “fire weed,”…and burning a small ton of my parent’s papers…

We’re still getting the occasional strawberry! … when the squirrels don’t steal them.

This week, we (finally) got everything done at my parent’s house, and it is being listed for sale.

It’s been a long haul… but I am so glad we are winding down.

on a side note...Today has been full of interesting bits:

*releasing the past --- burning 70years worth of greeting cards, newspaper clippings, event programs.. etc
*writing to my elected officials
*writing to companies raping our land

It is well into fall here, and yet….

yesterday when I was walking with my son in the yard, I found a spring violet bursting forth in bloom…

Yesterday was really hard… full of anxiety and sadness…

and today… my son is here from New Mexico… and things are brighter.

I absolutely love our house. It is small… yet plenty. It is colorful, and full of art… yet serene and relaxing. We are in town… yet on a dead end… so we have access, without any traffic. We have the woods right near us. It is amazing. And I am so very grateful.

There are still things I want to do here… and the top photo shows a color inspiration I am toying with….
